About Us

As founding member and CEO of Allied Consultants, Annelies Bakker is the corner stone of the consultancy, giving it direction whilst leading all client related activities.

As an accomplished Industry expert, with 40 years of experience, Annelies is highly acclaimed and widely regarded as a leading authority on the Tourism and Meeting Industry in the BeNeLux and beyond.

Having worked for many years as Managing Director for the Netherlands Board of Tourism and Conventions (NBTC) in Scandinavia, Belgium and Luxemburg, as well as managing the Netherlands Convention Bureau, Annelies has built up a unique network and an enduring knowledge of the BeNeLux tourism, congress and incentive markets.

She has broad communications and publicity experience with leading BeNeLux media, and is well acquainted with workings of the European Institutions, EU funding, and the EU associations.

Annelies is fluent in Dutch, English, French, German and Swedish.
